AT&T
recently acquired license for a high-end AWS-3 spectrum via Auction 97 of the Federal CommunicationsCommission (FCC). As a result, AT&T now possesses addition infrastructure
which will enable improved mobile Internet capacity and high-speed Internet for
more Americans. The 10X10 MHz spectrum will cover a significant proportion of
the American populace allowing about 96% of Americans to access the benefits
that this new spectrum offers.
Benefits of AWS-3 Spectrum
In the
competitive world of Internet Service Providers (ISPs), having the best
infrastructure is of significant import since it lays the groundwork for
world-class service which customers will love. AT&T’s success in acquiring FCC’s
most recently auctioned spectrum will enable its customers to access several
major improvements in mobile Internet service.
One major
benefit is increased mobile capacity. This will enable customers to access
high-speed Internet and meet greater bandwidth needs across multiple devices. This
